We celebrate Nigeria’s Independence on 1st October; however, according to the released schedules of activities by INEC for the 2015 General elections, commencement date for the conduct of Party primaries including resolution of disputes arising from the Primaries begins 2nd October 2014 and ends 11th December, 2014 to enable Political Parties democratically nominate candidates for the election as required by Section 87 of the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended).
In light of this, The Generational Voices Ogun State Chapter and coalitions of youth/students’ movement in Ogun state invites you to the first session of the GenVoices Nigeria Election Discourse, with the theme:
Nigeria’s 2015 Elections: Engaging Voters in Ogun State
Scheduled to hold as follows:

Venue: JDPC Auditorium, GRA Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.
Kola Oyeneyin (Convener, GenVoices Nigeria) & Ishola Adebayo (Coordinator, GenVoices Ogun State Chapter) are among the panelists that will discuss strategies to educate voters on the electoral process, increase participation among traditionally under represented groups—women, youth, rural voters—and ensure the overall safety and integrity of the vote in 2015.
The discourse is part of an ongoing series, supported by the Gen Voices HQ, bringing Ogun State Youths, students & civil society activists, and opinion leaders to Ogun state, Nigeria to engage with the policy makers and political leaders on how best to ensure the success of Nigeria’s 2015 elections particularly in Ogun state.
