Prof. Idowu Olayinka, Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan vowed he would not admit any JAMB candidate that scored 120 in UTME.

Semester Examinations – The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Idowu Olayinka, through a text, has wished students well in their almost concluded examinations.

The examination which started on August 13, 2018, after GES examination and was supposed to end very early in September in some departments has been a source of joy for the Vice-Chancellor because of the smooth running the semester has experienced.

According to him, “We acknowledge, with great pleasure, the fact that this Semester began and was concluded without hitch and that you were able to maximize the time and resources at your disposal. It is also note worthy that the University management enjoyed your full support while consistently working on municipal services and other such services.”

Meanwhile, because of the confusions of the date for second semester resumption, the Vice Chancellor has stolen the time to address the general public and confirm the resumption date.

The second semester examination which is expected to end by December, as he has said would resume by September 3, 2018.

The statement reads in part “without prejudice to the fact that there were minor changes to the Examination Time-Table on account of the public holidays declared by the Federal Government last week, kindly note that lectures for the Second Semester will commence on Monday, 3rd September, 2018.

“It is our hope that the Second Semester Examination will hold in December and be concluded before the Christmas and the end of the year 2018 celebrations.”

Meanwhile, some students have lamented that they have some examinations to write after the confirmed resumption date.
