UDUS Student Sets To Contest For NUKESS President

Yahaya Usman, a 400 level law student popularly known as Lampard will be contesting in the upcoming election for the post of President of National Union of Kebbi State Students.

Yahya Usman, reiterating his firm and dedicated comradeship, revealed he has had virtues and privilege to serve in many capacities both on campus and off campus.

He said in 2016, he was the PRO Kebbi State Law Students Association UDUS Chapter and in 2017, he held the position of Secretary of Kebbi State Law Students Association UDUS Chapter. Aligning himself as forward looking person, he noted that in 2018, he was equally the Secretary of NUKESS Constitution Review Committee (CRC) and in the same year, was later appointed as the Chairman of Convention Planning Committee and Secretary General Kebbi State Students Association UDUS Chapter.

Relegating pessimism in his ambition, he said for the fact that he was elected as the president of Kebbi State Student Association (KESSA UDUS) as well as Speaker National Union of Kebbi State Student, he hope to break more ground in the nearest future with great impact on the welfarism of the students of Kebbi State.

While expressing his desire and readiness to uplift Kebbi State Students Association, in his word, Yahaya said:
“Kebbi state students are popularly known for their integrity and honour. However, there are a lot of issues that need to be addressed. Issues like financial misconduct, denying the SRA their constitutional rights and many other menace in the association. I would try to find a lasting solution to some of these issues if I eventually emerge winner in the election.” He pledged.
