ADIRE WORLD – Acquiring a skill has became an escape route from joblessness. There’s no better way to build great leaders than teaching them to be independent of situations around them and also of the government for help. This is the enviable experience for every student at Tai Solarin University of Education, who recognizes opportunity to create the world they aspire to see.
She is the creative director of “Adire World” a textile designing company that believes in telling stories and putting people in charge of their style through prints and patterns using tie and dye. Some of her products varies from Adire T-Shirt, Shirts, Materials, Nect Ties, Bags, Notepad, Scarf e.tc.
Tobiloba works with events planners for decorations, photographers for backdrop and customize, fashion designers, corporate organization and interior designers e.t.c.
The Adire World also has an Academy for people who have fair and passion to be Textile designers. The school has a flexible time table to work with every age group.
How it all began……
Tobiloba Arewa started learning Tie & Dye at during her University days while in 100Level. The institution policy for every students mandated to offer a vocational course of study aside initial courses which makes every student in TASUED graduate with double certificate as the vocational training is made compulsory to have a pass in the training, falling will definitely attract an extra year. This was a blessing in disguise.
She started little with #2000 (Two Thousand Naira) which she used in getting dye and chemicals in school to made Adire for her friends which further publicized her work. Consistency and hardwork were her watchword, not withstanding her academics did not lag behind, she was well able to handle multitasking life as a students and life as a young business woman.
Adire World was incorporated in 2017 in her final year at age 21 and in the space of 6 month, she successfully worked with several individual and organization like; Rural Development Project, SCION Magazine, Bloom by Elevation church, the Excellentia Woman, Female Genital Mutilation among other in telling the story about their brand through her unique skills. She has also been featured on African Artist Foundation Exhibition as on of the youngest artist in 2017.
Tobiloba Arewa Adesanya has made a mark, making waves in less than five years after her graduation from school. She is indeed a gem to be reckoned with, a source of inspiration to students who are yet to make a decision to learn skills. This amazing young lady was one of the panelist who’s presences brought shine to the G.A.T.E Summit held at Tai Solarin University of Education recently.
