It is another edition of the annual South-West Students’ Parliamentary Summit cum Award of Excellence which will take place on Thursday, 21st April 2016, at the TETFUND Auditorium of Tai Solarin University of Education, (T ASUED), Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State by 10am prompt. The event is organized by the Students Parliamentary Council of TASUED with strategic support by Women Arise for Change Initiative and Youngelites Foundation with the theme: “Gender Equality through Women Empowerment and Good Governance”.

The ‪#‎SWSPS2016‬ Speech is be delivered by the Guest Speaker, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, President Women Arise for Change Initiative; the Chairman of the event is Hon. Kehinde Odeneye, Member, House of Representatives – Ijebu Federal Constituency, the Special Guest of Honour is Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, representing the people of Lagos Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly and the Host is TASUED Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Yemisi Obilade.



The aim of the summit is to cultivate much-needed mentoring synergy between federal or state lawmakers and students’ lawmakers in various tertiary institutions, to awaken and stimulate the spirit of leadership In our young women thereby setting a landmark and path for the students to aspire towards and to appreciate the contribution of women in the larger society which would yield dividends in more responsive and responsible women participation in governance process within South-West Nigeria.
