The Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan yesterday hosted a delegation of Yobe State Students Association, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria chapter (NUYOSSABU) to an interactive session at his office in Abuja.
The interactive session which was also attended by Senator Ibrahim Mohammad Bomai of Yobe South Senatorial District discussed issues of burning interest to both parties.

Dr. Ahmed Lawan who is also from Yobe State has been representing the people of Yobe North senatorial district in the Nigerian senate since 2007.
The former University of Maiduguri lecturer is also an Abusite. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Maiduguri in 1984. A master’s degree in Remote Sensing from the Ahmadu Bello University and a Doctorate degree in Remote Sensing/GIS from Cranfield University, UK, in 1990 and 1996 respectively.
