UNILAG Football Team played against Eleven Angels F.C, a clubside from Surulere. The first half was barren as both sides were unable to open the scoresheet with an evenly battle of the midfield. Ikuejurojo Owolabi, started as Team UNILAG lone striker but missed some few chances in the first 45mins. The midfielders were also tested as they found it difficult to control the midfield.

With the introduction of Bello in the 2nd half, the game took shape in favour of Team UNILAG, with Ikuejurojo Owolabi opening the scoresheet. But the celebration didn’t last long as the defenders lost concentration and it resulted in an equaliser, not long after, Owolabi brilliantly connected to an aerial ball from the team’s captain, Odeyemi Bolaji, with a fine header to put Team UNILAG back in the lead.
With great possession and fluidity in the midfield, the game was very much in Team UNILAG control. Fadare Johnson was later introduced in the game, he replaced Ikuejurojo Owolabi. It didn’t take him long to show the coach what he’s got for the day as he solitarily moved the ball against two defenders and shot a volley right from the edge of the box. Incredible!
It ended 3-1 in favour of UNILAG Warlords. The winning streak continues with a training session tomorrow at the Sports Centre by 4p.m.
