NUC BEGINS ACCREDITATION IN TASUED

The National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation team was on the main campus of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State on accreditation mission of some programmes in the College of Science and Information Technology (COSIT), College of Applied Education and Vocational Technology and College of Humanities (COHUM).

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oluyemisi Obilade, while welcoming the team noted that the University, which is known for excellence, looked forward to benefitting from wealth of experience of experts of the NUC team.

In his remarks, the NUC representative, Mr. Patrick Ukah assured members of the University Management that the team would be objective, fair but thorough in its assessment.

He, however, assured that the team was not on a witch-hunt mission to the University but to further help the Institution in delivering quality service. “We would keep an open mind on the University”, he added.

The Science and Information Technology team was led by Prof. Nkadi Onyegegbu, Prof. Tijani Abubakar was the Head of the team of Library and Information Science, Educational Management, Childhood Education and Transportation Management while Prof. R. Kalilu led the History, English Language,
French, Yoruba, Religious Studies and Fine and Apllied Arts.

The accreditation exercise would last for some days.
