The National Students Alliance On Wednesday 4th July, 2018 the National Students Alliance (NSA Ghana) Launched the 4th edition of the prestigious National Students Awards at the Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra.

The award scheme that seeks to applaud and promote the good works of students is themed; One year of Free SHS, a blessing, or an Albatross.

This awards ceremony is an initiative from the joint efforts of all National Student Groups in Ghana that covers from basic to tertiary education and it includes Ghanaian students abroad and foreign students in Ghana.

The awards seek to honour three main categories of people, namely:
1. The Nobel Change Ambassadors, for prominent Citizens and Diplomats, who are supporting education in Ghana
2. The Corporate Platinum Awards, for companies and business who are supporting the progress of education in Ghana. and
3. The Student Hall of Fame for students who are practicalizing what is thought in the classroom in different areas of endeavour.

Below is a list of categories for the Student Hall of Fame.

1. Student Personality of the year
2. Most Innovative Student in Engineering
3. Most Innovative student in IT
4. National Best Student Farmer
5. Showbiz Personality of the Year.
6. Sports Personality of the Year
7. President of the Year
8. Prefect of the Year (Basic Level)
9. Prefect of the Year (High School)
10. Prefect of the Year (College Level)
11. Secretary of the Year
12. Women Commissioner of the Year
13. Treasurer /Financial Secretary/Financial Controller of the year
14. Student Entrepreneur of the Year
15. Student Journalist of the Year
16. Author of the Year
17. Hall of the Year
18. Campus Group of the Year
19. Student Research Fellow of the year
20. Blogger of the year
21. Activist of the year
22. Rising Star of the year
23. Association/Union of the Year
24. Chief Justice/Student Lawyer of the Year
25. Physically Challenged Student of the Year
26. Speaker of Student Parliament for the Year

However, anyone wishing to nominate a person or company in category 1 and 2 could simply send the name of the person or company and the reason why they should be awarded to mynsa.gh@gmail.com also, those making nominations for the Student Hall of Fame (category 3) will have to visit the NSA Ghana website on www.nsaghana.org to fill a simple nomination form.
