A Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Ibadan has urge President Muhammadu Buhari and all Tiers of Government to invest in Security. He stated this at the 3rd Ramadan Lecture organised by the Muslim Community Of Adeyemi University Of Education, Ondo. The lecture which was held at the 500 Capacity Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium had in attendance the Acting Vice Chancellor Of the University Prof.Olukoya Ogen, the Registra Mr. F.L Aderinboye, the bursar, the chairman of the Muslim Community in AUE Dr S.M Raji and other major stakeholders on the Campus.
In his paper titled ”Islam, Nigeria and the Future of Nigeria” the former Head of Department of Islamic Studies, University Of Ibadan said that the establishment of equity and justice is needed in government in Nigeria. He urge the public Office Holders to avoid being extravangace.
In his Opening speech, the chairman of the Muslim Community on campus Dr.SM Raji thanked the management for their support toward them, the specifically thanked them for approving the sum of #500,000 in january 2015 for the completion of the University Mosque. He called on the management to employ an Islamic teacher at the Demonstration School.
In his Remark, the head of the University, Prof.Olukoya Ogen thanked the muslims for the cordial relationship and unity they have exhibited since he assumed office six months ago, he promise to continue to work with them for the upliftment of the varsity.
