DELSU Final Year student – A final year pharmacy student of Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU), identified as Orumah Efemena TuTu has allegedly taken his own life after being scolded by his father within the university premises.
According to reports, the deceased had a history of deteriorating results as he had been put on probation twice and bagged four carryovers due to his derailing academic progress.
In frustration, the father who visited him berated him for not doing as well as his junior siblings, leading to his decision to drink up two bottles of popular insecticide, Sniper.
He was inside the school premises when he collapsed and was rushed to the University Health Center from his hostel where he died.
The faculty of Pharmacy made the announcement of his unfortunate demise, declaring tomorrow a lecture-free day.
