Covenant University Management shave students’ hair for rocking bushy hairstyle

In a bid to maintain adherence to school code, the management of Covenant Universityhave reportedly shaved some students’ hair as a punishment for keeping noncompliant hairstyle.

A Twitter user, @1JayMun who tweeted about the punishment the university management meted out against the students said that the university authorities decided to punish the students because their hairstyle is embarrassing them.

While @1JayMun said the students were punished for rocking bushy hairstyle, another tweeter user @omoissy tweeted that the students were punished because they did not take their Bible to the church.

However, in a video circulating online, the students whose hair were shaved in the middle of their heads are seen walking around the school as their fellow students hailed them.

Another video shared on social media showed one of the students lamenting that the school management shaved his hair makes him to look like the son of an Ifa priest.

While many twitter users condemned Covenant University management’s decision, others blamed the students saying they know the school rules before they accepted the university admission offer.
