A lot of student fashion bloggers are cropping up while some who have already made their names are on their to stardom. One of which is the popularly known student fashion blogger, Jislof.

He is by name Oni Oluwabunmi Joshua, a 400L Medical student of Obafemi Awolowo University. He is popularly known as and called Jislof. He describes himself as a fashion enthusiast and something he enjoys doing always. When asked if he attended any fashion course(s) that built his interest or made him delve into fashion blogging, he said no.

For him, he has always loved to dress fashionably right from his childhood days and has also been motivated by other fashion bloggers that are doing really well.

In an exclusive interview with our correspondence Ebunoluwa, he said a lot about himself and how he has been able to combine fashion with studies.

As most people opine, he agrees that he is the most popular fashion blogger in O.A.U. His popularity is stemmed out of the attention he gets both online and offline. He said he also gets a lot of messages from fashion brands willing to collaborate with me. On how he manages to combine his studies with his job, he says he tries his possible best to manage his time by doing most of his readings at night and most of my fashion shoots during the weekends.

Medical students are always encouraged to dress corporately when asked if he adheres to this dress code considering his job, he replied in the affirmative saying even before he got admission to study Medicine, he has always liked to dress corporately and he emphasized that it’s compulsory to dress corporately there at their clinic.

As a fashion blogger, he says his greatest weakness is the challenge of not having enough time to post things often. For his greatest strength, he believes that it is his drive from within to explore the fashion world.

His choice to pursue a career in fashion blogging is based on his passion for it. He stressed that it is what he loves and enjoys doing. His goal as a fashion designer is to become a very famous and respected blogger in the fashion industry.

For him, his love for fashion is innate. There’s nothing in particular, I just love fashion are his words. When asked what he meant by innate he said, innate is like inborn, I don’t really have a specific reason why I’ve always loved fashion so I believe it’s inborn.

Jislof is an optimistic being who never allows negative comments get to him and for him, he says he has never heard anyone give negative comments about what he does. Steven Onoja is one of the fashion

icons he looks up to. I really love his style. When asked to tell us something we wouldn’t know about him just by looking at his fashion style. He said we wouldn’t know that sometimes he can spend over two hours rehearsing what to wear in front of my Mirror. In three words, he describes his fashion life as “Getting Better Daily”.
