Students have been warned to be careful of the ills associated with the social media as it is a double-edged sword that can derailed them.

The admonition was given by the Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu at the 2019 Valedictory Programme of the Anglican Girls’ Grammar School,(Junior), Ijebu Ode.

Prof. Arigbabu, who was the Special Guest of honour at the ceremony, enjoined the final year students of the school to see education as the bedrock of a better future by not to resting on their oars but to see the sky as their starting point.

He urged them to put in their maximum efforts so as to justify the sacrifices incurred by their teachers.

In his address, the Vice Principal (Administration), Mr. Alaga Kamorudeen thanked Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu for donating towards the renovation of the school’ Multipurpose Science Laboratory complex, saying that other well meaning Nigerians should emulate this philanthropy gesture, noting that government could not fund education alone but with the support of all stakeholders.

An award was later presented to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Arigbabu for his unalloyed contributions to the growth of education in the country.
