Lagos Regional Hult Prize Final – The Hult Prize which is known as an innovative crowdsourcing platform which identifies and launches disruptive and catalytic social ventures that aim to solve the planet’s most pressing challenges.

Ahmadu Bello University, Team Egesta after the increasingly competitive pitch-offs among other teams have emerged as winners of Lagos regional Hult Prize challenge 2018, they will, therefore, advance to the next round to compete with other winners of the regional finals for the winning prize of $1 million.

The Regional winners will be invited to a Summer Accelerator at a castle in the UK.

After intense pitching at various grouping presentation, the final 6 teams gave their final presentation, they were

– Team Web from Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna, Nigeria.

Team Egesta from Ahmadu Bello University

Team Waste to Light from Lagos State University

Team Light the World from Cavendish University Uganda

Team TureNa from Hult International Business School

Team THTT from the University of Nigeria, before Team Egesta from Ahmadu Bello University, was announced as winners of the Hult Prize Lagos regional finals 2018.

Notably, this year, the Hult is focused around finding solutions for millions of people around the world affected by “harnessing the power of energy to improve 10 million lives challenge”

In a similar vein, the Hult Prize foundation through its Twitter page has also officially congratulated the winner of the Lagos regional finals in a tweet which says “Amazing job! Congratulations and see you at the castle! #HP18 #PowerforGood”

Furthermore, the finalist from Hult Prize Lagos Regional will in the summer of 2018, meet in Ashridge, UK for the accelerator. The winners from the accelerator will meet for the grand USD 1 Million Prize in September at the UNGA
