Arbicans – The media world keeps changing day by day, while the old ones are retiring leaving the stage for the young one to explore and showcase their Given talent and potentials.
In this young one’s category, we have the students who are combining their academic with the media job. In this compilation done by one of our correspondent Emmanuel Daraloye, we take look at five Students of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo who are making wave in the media world.
If you mention the name Chris Ibunkunoluwa in Adeyemi College of education campus, you might surprise no one will answer you but with the mere mention of Omajuwa, thousands of people will definitely answer you, the Modakeke born Compere and OAP has carved a niche for herself in the media world from working with the College Arbico FM to working with Obafemi Awolowo University’s Great FM down to King Sunny Ade owned Music and Culture radio and most recently Sun city radio. She was one time Campus Youth TV presenter at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, where she hosted the behind the scene moment of Songo Birrin Stage Play. Omajuwa has been a trailblazer, doing what most women are afraid of doing.
4. Alese Omodele:
Forget about the Jerry curl hairstyle, Alese Omodele has the radio voice, he was once a staff of Arbico FM before joining the newly established Sun city Radio, he is a news editor, the host of Suncity Top Ten Countdown, Men hour, he is also a Co-host of happy hour show(Tuesday episode) he is currently a 400L student of Chemistry department.
3. E.C Chukwu
Not to be called Chuks please, real name Emmanuel Chika Chukwu, the Ibo boy speaking Yoruba, E. C is a 400L student of English department, he has anchored Programmes on Arbico FM, M&C FM and Sun city, he is a Red Carpet host, Mc, Dramatist, he has staged two plays on the College campus. 2. Francis Adekunle:
A host of campus corner on Sun city, a staff of Ace I Radio, Ace TV, Arbico FM, model, red carpet host, dramatist, Francis is a classic example of Jacks of all trade, master of all. He is a Co-host of the early morning newspaper bulletin programme on Sun City, he recently launched a Red carpet company. Arbicans
1. Oguntimehin Ayomide:
Call him MID, the Akure born Journalist turned Broadcaster was a Co-founder of Arbico Parrot, a newscaster with Arbico FM, he has hosted a lot of Red Carpet within and outside the campus, he has been nominated for many awards. He currently anchors a programme on M and C FM.
